The deceased woman has been identified as Geeta Samaddar (60), while her husband’s name has been stated as Amulya Samaddar (77). The two daughters of 77-year-old Amulya Samaddar and 60-year-old Geeta Samaddar were married. Sometimes she used to come to this apartment to meet her parents. Geeta, suffering from paralysis, was lying ill in bed for the last 10 years. Amulya used to take care of his wife Geeta Devi. A few days ago, Amulya was diagnosed with heart disease.

Police took the body of the old couple into custody and sent it for postmortem.

After physical examination of Amulya, the doctors advised him to be admitted to the hospital for a few days. Amulya had to be admitted to the hospital on Tuesday. Before this, he was found bleeding on the floor in his apartment. After this, when the people living there along with the police reached Amulya’s room, the door was locked from inside. After breaking the door of the room and entering inside, the police recovered Geeta Devi’s body in the room. He was murdered with a sharp weapon.
