WB News : Governor of West Bengal C.V. Anand Bose (CV Anand Bose) on Saturday said regarding the attack on National Investigation Agency (NIA) officers that this matter should be taken ‘with utmost seriousness’. The Governor said that attempts to harass the investigating agencies will not benefit anyone and the matter should be dealt with strictly. This is a very serious situation and the matter should be dealt with utmost seriousness. This kind of ‘hooliganism’ should not be allowed. This should be dealt with strictly. On Saturday, villagers attacked the NIA team that had gone to investigate the 2022 bomb blast case in Bhupatinagar area of East Medinipur district of West Bengal.
If there is any complaint against ED and CBI then one should go to the court.
Regarding the demonstration by some protesters in front of NIA officials during the investigation in Bhupatinagar, West Bengal Congress President Adhir Ranjan Choudhary said, “Whether NIA, ED and CBI are doing right or wrong is a different matter. We cannot give any argument that this attack is justified. There is judiciary and law in our country. If they have any complaint against ED and CBI then they should go to court.
NIA is behaving like a wing of BJP
Regarding the demonstration by some protesters in front of NIA officers during the investigation in Bhupatinagar, Trinamool leader Kunal Ghosh said, “We had already said that BJP leaders are meeting NIA officers and giving the list of Trinamool leaders. Mamta Banerjee clearly said today that NIA is behaving like a wing of BJP to benefit BJP. Trinamool is not afraid of central agencies.
