WB News: Dengue broke the record of last five years in Bengal, nine thousand people got affected in 11 days.

But Dengue The outbreak is not showing signs of stopping. The outbreak of dengue is increasing due to changing weather patterns. According to information received from sources in the state health department, dengue has broken its record of the last five years this time. According to the information, during Durga Puja in the state, nine thousand people have become victims of dengue in the 11 days between Mahalaya to Vijay Dashami i.e. between 14th and 24th October.

North 24 Parganas on top, Kolkata at second place

During this period, a total of 76 thousand people fell victim to dengue across the state, whereas last time 67 thousand people fell victim to dengue. This time the maximum number of people have become victims of dengue in the last five years. There has been an increase in dengue cases in almost every district during the puja. According to health department sources, North 24 Parganas is on top in terms of dengue infection. Whereas, Kolkata is at second place, Murshidabad is at third place and Hooghly is at fourth place.

Highest number of dengue cases in these districts

According to the information, North 24 Parganas is at first position in the state. So far 18,549 people have become victims of dengue in this district. Kolkata is in second place. So far 11,029 people have become victims of dengue here. Murshidabad is at third place. 8,750 people have become victims of dengue in this district. Hooghly is at fourth place. So far 6,001 people have been affected by dengue here. Nadia district is at fifth position. So far 5,503 people have suffered from this disease. After this the place is of Howrah district. So far, 4,257 people have become victims of dengue in this sixth ranked district. Whereas, South 24 Parganas is at seventh place. So far 3,109 people have suffered dengue here. At the same time, Malda district is at eighth place. So far 3,022 people have become victims of dengue in this district. According to statistics, maximum cases of dengue have been reported in North 24 Parganas. The administration is not able to control dengue in any way. Every municipal body has already been warned by the State Secretariat Nabanna. Special emphasis is being laid on cleanliness, but dengue has gone out of control.
