The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at the residences of several Trinamool Congress leaders, including an MLA and two councilors, for their involvement in the alleged school recruitment scam in West Bengal. According to information received from sources, the central agency has raided the residence of Domkal MLA Zafikul Islam of Murshidabad district and Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) councilor Bappaditya Dasgupta and Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation councilor Debraj Chakraborty.
Raids continue in teacher recruitment scam
The CBI officer said that this raid is being conducted as part of our investigation into the teacher recruitment scam. The raid continues. We are interrogating those people whose houses and offices are being raided. The official said that raids are going on at various places in and around Kolkata, Murshidabad and Cooch Behar districts in connection with the investigation.
