Birbhum, Mukesh Tiwari: A bomb hidden in a scooter exploded on Sunday morning in Sarada village of Nalhati police station area of Birbhum district of West Bengal. Two people were injured in this. The injured have been admitted to Nalhati Block Hospital. After this incident, police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Police said that two people were probably carrying bombs and weapons hidden in a scooter. Then for some reason the bomb exploded. The scooter driver and rider were seriously injured. The police have admitted the injured to the hospital with the help of local people. Police have also seized a weapon from the scooter. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the explosion. Police said that the people injured in the bomb blast have been identified as Mukuleshuddin Ali and Sheikh Riaz. Both their houses are in Jaikrishnapur village of Margram and Rampurhat police stations. Police have arrested both the injured.
Incident happened near Sarada village
According to police and local sources, at around 11 am on Sunday morning, Mukuleshuddin Ali and Riyaz Shaikh were carrying bombs and live weapons hidden in a scooter near the petrol pump located near Sarada village. The bomb present in the scooter exploded, injuring both of them. Hearing the sound of bomb blast, villagers reached the spot. He informed the police. The police arrested both of them and took them to the hospital. When the police interrogated and searched him, a loaded pistol was also found from the scooter.
Police said- both were going to attack somewhere
During initial investigation, the police came to know that both of them were going to attack somewhere with bombs and firearms. At the same time, the bomb he was carrying exploded and he himself got hit by it. He was arrested in injured condition and admitted to Nalhati Block Hospital for treatment. The forensic team has been informed about the incident. The forensic department team will investigate what the bomb was like. The bomb disposal squad has also been informed.
