Kolkata, Amit Sharma: Trinamool Congress leader arrested in case of cattle smuggling into Bangladesh via Bengal Anubrata Mandal (Anubrata Mondal) is currently serving the period of judicial custody in Tihar Jail, New Delhi. Despite petitioning for bail in the courts several times, he has been disappointed. On Wednesday, a hearing regarding Mandal’s bail plea was held in the Supreme Court. Mandal’s advocate applied for the bail of his client citing his physical illness. Also argued that it has been almost 15 months since Mandal’s arrest. He has cooperated in every way in the investigation, hence his bail plea should be accepted.
