WB News: in west bengal Lok Sabha Election Just before the Election Commission is taking necessary action to conduct free and fair elections. The Election Commission today directed the Home Ministry to deploy 100 more companies of Central Armed Paramilitary Forces (CAPF) in West Bengal. On the instructions of the Election Commission, 55 companies of CRPF and 45 companies of Border Security Forces are being deployed by the Home Ministry. According to sources, 150 more companies of soldiers may reach Bengal before or after Poila Baishakh.

In the first phase, voting is on April 19 in Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri. There are total 5 thousand 400 booths. There are 17, 9 and 11 company forces in the three districts respectively. There are 177 company forces across the state. In such a situation, the question arose whether the army could be deployed at all the booths or not. In such a situation, Chief Electoral Officer of the state Ariz Aftab said that 100 more company forces are coming till Wednesday. Which will be used in the first round of voting.

Meanwhile, deployment of paramilitary forces at each booth in the first phase of polling will require 336 to 378 companies of forces.
