Kolkata, Vikas Kumar Gupta: on Bangladesh border BSF The soldiers of 32nd battalion of South Bengal Frontier foiled the smuggling of gold near Khaji Bagan border post located in Nadia district and seized two gold bricks. When the smugglers were trying to smuggle these gold bricks into India by throwing these gold bricks over the barbed wire built on the Bangladesh border to the Indian border. The weight of the seized gold bricks is 1.950 kg. Its estimated price is Rs 1 crore 39 lakh 44 thousand 450.
BSF had its eyes on 5 people coming from Bangladesh
According to BSF sources, after receiving secret information, BSF soldiers started monitoring every activity in Khaji Bagan. Suddenly the soldiers saw that 5 people were silently coming towards the barricade from Bangladesh. Here, almost the same number of Indian smugglers were surreptitiously moving in the opposite direction towards the barbed wire on the border through the mango orchards. The soldier on duty alerted everyone and started keeping a constant watch on them.

About two kilos of gold seized on Bangladesh border
Early on Monday, miscreants threw a packet across the fencing from the Bangladesh side. As soon as the smugglers from the Indian side moved forward to take those packets, the soldiers immediately came into action and started chasing the smugglers who had come to take the gold consignment. After which the smugglers who had come to collect the gold consignment ran back towards the mango orchard out of fear of being caught. Bangladeshi smugglers also fled back towards Bangladesh. The jawan immediately went and confiscated the packet, on opening which two gold bricks were recovered. The seized gold bricks have been handed over to Banpur Custom Department for further legal action.
