The 29th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) will begin today in West Bengal. its inauguration Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Netaji (Chief Minister Mamata BanerjeeNetaji It will be held at the Indoor Stadium at 4 pm. Many celebrities including actors Salman Khan, Kamal Haasan, Anil Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha, Saurabh Ganguly will be present at the ceremony. The film festival will continue till December 12. KIFF films will be shown at 23 places in Kolkata. It has been told that films will be shown in a total of 23 theaters and cinemas including Rabindra Sadan, Shishir Manch, Nandan 1,2,3, Nazrul Tirtha, Bijoli Theatre, Senka Theatre.

Apart from 169 feature films, it includes award-winning films, short films and documentaries. The theme song of the festival has been sung by Arijit Singh and the song has been conceptualized by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while the composing has been done by Indrajit Dasgupta. This time films of new filmmakers have been added to the festival. Spain will be the focus country in the film festival. Six films from Spain and 15 films from Australia will be shown.
