WB KIFF: Inauguration of 29th Kolkata Film Festival, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee danced with Bollywood stars.

The 29th Kolkata International Film Festival has started in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee sang the song ‘Banglar Mati Banglar Jal’ at the inauguration ceremony. After this, Salman Khan started the film festival by lighting the lamp. Stars like Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt, Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha and Sourav Ganguly were present at the inauguration ceremony of the film festival.

219 films from 39 countries will be shown during the film festival.

The theme song of the festival has been sung by Arijit Singh and the song has been conceptualized by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while the composing has been done by Indrajit Dasgupta. This time films of new filmmakers have been added to the festival. Spain will be the focus country in the film festival. Six films from Spain and 15 films from Australia will be shown.
