WB: Governor Bose said, all universities can call a meeting

Raj Bhavan in West Bengal has written a letter to the universities informing them that under the Act of 1979 Governor Can preside over the meetings of the Court or EC. Or if necessary, he can give permission to the Vice Chancellor to call a meeting. The state’s conflict with the Governor came to the fore only after the appointment of Vice Chancellors in universities. Earlier, Calcutta University to Jadavpur University wanted to call syndicate meeting and EC meeting, but the state higher education department did not agree to it. Due to this, there is confusion in the functioning of universities. Now Raj Bhavan has written a letter to the universities informing them that the Vice Chancellors of all the universities can call a meeting under the Act of 1979. As a result, the governor’s conflict with the state has taken another dimension.
