in west bengal Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday raided eight places in Kolkata and 24 North Parganas district of West Bengal on allegations of use of fake domicile certificates to avail benefits available to residents of border areas in recruitment in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). There are allegations that many candidates were illegally recruited in the armed forces and CAPFs through fake domicile certificates. Justice Jai Sengupta, after looking into the results of the CBI’s preliminary investigation, had said that no irregularities were found in recruitment in the armed forces but four incidents were found in the central paramilitary forces.
