However, the questions and answers of that case are becoming longer. Due to this, the hopes of the state government employees to win through legal means were also dashed. However, earlier this year the Chief Minister had announced a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance. Similarly, government employees and retired employees are getting increased DA from January 1.
DA of state government employees increased to 14 percent
After this, on Thursday, Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya announced another 4 percent increase in DA in the state budget. He said that keeping in mind the inflation in the market, the state government has decided to increase the dearness allowance. This DA will be available at the new rate from the next financial year. That means dearness allowance will be available at the increased rate from the month of May. Due to this, DA of state government employees has increased to 14 percent. However, the difference in gratuity in central hands remained only 32 percent.
