It will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi will dedicate India’s first water metro to the nation on 25 April.

Water metro will connect 10 islands: According to media reports and information received from officials, the country’s first water metro will connect 10 islands of Kerala. According to the information received, the water metro service will be started with eight electric hybrid boats.
Officials believe that with the introduction of water metro, transportation will be of great help, as well as ease of movement. Apart from this, it will also be helpful in reducing the problem of traffic.

Regarding the Kochi Water Metro, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has termed it as an ambitious project of the state. According to him, the water metro will give a new impetus to the development and growth of Kochi. CM Vijayan said on social media that it is being started in Kochi at a cost of Rs 1136.83 crore.

Kochi Water Metro is being connected to 10 islands. In this, the cost of travel will be very less, as well as due to lack of traffic, time will also be saved. In the initial phase of the journey, it will cover a distance of 75 km. There will be movement of water metro for the people every 15 minutes.

World Class Project: Kerala CM Vijayan told in his tweet on social media that the Kochi Water Metro will be very exciting for the transport and tourism sectors of the state. He said that the world class Kochi Water Metro project is about to start. It is an ambitious project of Kerala connecting Kochi and its 10 surrounding islands. With a total of 78 electric boats and 38 terminals, the cost of KWM is 1136.83 crores.
