Water level of Patratu Dam increased after continuous rain, a gate opened

Ramgarh, Ajay Kumar : Patratu – Due to continuous rain in the surrounding areas for the last three days, the water level of PTPS Dam crossed 1328 RL at 6:30 am on Wednesday. After this, the block administration has started drainage by opening a gate of Patratu Dam. Announcement regarding opening of gates in the surrounding area was also made by the personnel of PTPS remaining asset. It is known that due to continuous rains in Patratu-Ranchi valley including surrounding areas, water is flowing rapidly in the dam. The water level of the dam has increased rapidly in the last three days. Besides, the water level in wells and ponds including big and small reservoirs of the area has also risen rapidly.

Life affected due to rain

Due to intermittent and continuous rains, life has been completely affected. There is silence on the roads including the markets of the area. The remaining asset management has advised people in the area not to come near the river. With the opening of the gates of Patratu Dam, the water source in Nalkari River, Damodar River and Rajrappa increases considerably.

Water level increased in many dams

Here, due to continuous rain for three days, the water level of many dams of Ranchi has increased. The water level of Kanke Dam, Rukka Dam, Hatiya Dam, Patratu Dam, Tilaiya Dam has increased. Talking about Kanke Dam, Kanke Dam has reached near the danger mark. There is about one foot less water here than the capacity. The capacity of the dam is 28 feet. At the same time, the water level has increased to about 27 feet. Right now the water in the dam is about one foot less than its capacity. At the same time, the water in Rukka Dam is about three feet less than the danger mark. At eight in the morning the water level of Rukka Dam was 32.6 feet. At four in the evening it increased to 33.2 feet. The capacity of Rukka Dam is 36 feet. At the same time, the water level of Hatiya Dam has reached 30 feet. Capacity is only 39 feet.
