Pankaj Tripathi played the role of ‘Kalin Bhaiya’ in the action crime thriller web series Mirzapur. This character became so famous that even today fans call the actor as Kaleen Bhaiya in the public area. The story revolves around Akhandanand Tripathi (Pankaj Tripathi), also known as Kaleen Bhaiya, a mafia don and ruler of Mirzapur in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. The series was mostly shot in Uttar Pradesh, mainly in Mirzapur. Apart from this, some shooting has taken place in Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Gorakhpur and Varanasi. Speaking to BollywoodWallah, Pankaj said, “I really enjoyed playing the character of Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur. I am a powerless man in real life and playing Kaleen Bhaiya, I could feel myself as a powerful man.
