The Meteorological Department said that zero visibility was recorded in Jorhat, Pathankot, Jammu, Agra and Bhatinda on Sunday morning. Visibility was recorded at 25 meters in Ambala, 50 meters in Bikaner, Patiala, Chandigarh, Gwalior, Jhansi and 200 meters in Amritsar and Hisar. Moderate to dense fog was seen in many parts of the capital Delhi in the morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality index (AQI) across Delhi has reached ‘severe’ category in many areas. AQI 425 was recorded in Anand Vihar, AQI 425 in Dwarka-Sector-8, AQI 426 in RK Puram, AQI 431 in Mundka. According to the Meteorological Department, it will be partly cloudy on Sunday and the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 19 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively. IMD has issued advisories for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, North Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh. It has been said in this advisory that due to fog, visibility may be affected at some airports, highways and railway routes on Sunday.
