Along with the family members of the martyr, the villagers of his native village Naromurar of Warisaliganj police station area of Nawada district had already reached there. In Gaya, army soldiers gave a guard of honor to the mortal remains of martyr Chandan. After this, the mortal remains of the martyr were brought to Nawada in a special army vehicle. The dead body of the martyr was removed from the army vehicle at Nawada police line and taken to the martyr’s native village Naromurar via Nawada city, Odhanpur, Kharant in a decorated vehicle of Nawada police. All the senior administrative and police officers of Nawada district were included in the convoy carrying the mortal remains of the martyr.
While bringing the mortal remains of martyr Chandan from Gaya to Nawada in a special army vehicle, the passion for patriotism among the common people was witnessed. At places like Wazirganj, Manjwe, Hisua etc. lying on the route, people were standing in a crowd in advance to have the last darshan of this son of Nawada. People’s eyes were moist. People were raising slogans of “Chandan Kumar Amar Rahe”. People were demanding hanging of the murderers of this martyred son of Mother India.
When the mortal remains of martyr Chandan was being taken to his native village in a special vehicle from Nawada Police Line. During that time the entire Nawada city was filled with common people. From Sadbhavna Chowk to Bhagat Singh Chowk, crowds of people were standing on both sides of the road, not only paying homage to this martyred son of Mother India with tearful eyes, but they were also raising slogans demanding hanging of the killers of martyr Chandan.
