Corona virus infection has once again increased the tension in the world. Meanwhile, a question is coming in the minds of people that how dangerous is the new variant of Corona? So amid growing concerns over the JN.1 variant of the corona virus, former WHO Chief Scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan has assured people that there is no need to immediately panic about this new variant. He said this in an interview with ANI. He said that we need to remain alert, but we do not need to panic about this variant. This is because we do not have any data available regarding whether this variant JN.1 is more serious or it can also become a cause of death. Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa, Puducherry, Gujarat, Telangana, Punjab and Delhi are the states where a slight increase in Covid cases has been seen. Amidst the increasing cases, many states are coming up with individual surveillance guidelines as a precaution. According to Kerala Health Minister Veena George, the number of tests of Covid samples in the state is higher than other states, although the situation is under control.
