VIDEO: India Alliance meeting regarding Lok Sabha elections, JMM leaders reach Delhi

There is a meeting of Congress and JMM in Delhi on Saturday regarding seat sharing in Jharkhand for the Lok Sabha elections. A four-member JMM delegation has reached Delhi to participate in the meeting. The delegation includes Minister Champai Soren, MLA Sudivya Kumar, party general secretary cum state coordination committee member Vinod Pandey, general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya. JMM leaders will participate in the meeting of the high level committee formed on sharing. Many leaders including Mukul Wasnik, Salman Khurshid, Ashok Gehlot, Mohan Prakash are included in this committee. Congress state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir and state president will also attend this meeting. There can also be a demand for exchange of Jamshedpur and Singhbhum seats. JMM argues that there are JMM MLAs on all the assembly seats of West Singhbhum district. In such a situation, the workers there are demanding Singhbhum. In return for this, Congress will be offered Jamshedpur seat. However, it depends on Congress how much compromise it makes for West Singhbhum. It is noteworthy that in the 2019 elections, the then UPA alliance had won only two seats. JMM was able to register victory in Rajmahal seat, while Congress was able to register victory in West Singhbhum.
