Swachh Bharat Mission: There is anger among the people of the area due to the construction of a garbage dumping yard in the residential area near the Raj Bhavan. The local people have opened a front against the Ranchi Municipal Corporation. In fact, behind the newly constructed vegetable market, the waste generated from the surrounding areas of the capital has been dumped by small vehicles for the last one month in Khatal itself. After which the garbage was being lifted from the big vehicle and sent to the main dumping yard Jhiri. This process was going on for the last one month. Due to which the local people were very upset. People living near the society say that due to the dumping yard, their living there has become difficult, many people are suffering from diseases like dengue, chikungunya, malaria, diarrhoea. Angry people protested against garbage dumping by stopping the vehicle of Municipal Corporation which reached Naga Baba Khatal on Tuesday. Stopping the dumping, the higher authorities have been informed about it.
