Ranchi: ED raids a flat in Anant Raj Estate, Gurugram in connection with the BMW car seized from the Chief Minister’s Delhi residence. The owner of Bhagwan Das Holding Company had described this flat as his office. But the caretaker present during the raid told that the flat belongs to MP Dheeraj Sahu. Documents related to the MP have also been found in the flat, which have been seized by the ED. The seized documents include the MP’s boarding pass, passbook and medical report and other documents. After this, ED has issued summons to MP Dheeraj Sahu. He has been instructed to be present at the regional office in Ranchi on February 10 at 11 am. ED suspects that the car found from the Chief Minister’s residence was purchased with the money of MP Dheeraj Sahu. On January 29, ED had seized a BMW X-7 car and Rs 36.34 lakh in cash during a raid at the Chief Minister’s residence in Shanti Niketan, Delhi. Preliminary investigation found that the car seized from the Chief Minister’s residence was not purchased by the state government. The car has been purchased in the name of a company named Bhagwan Das Holding Private Limited. The car number is HR 26 EM-2836. The car was purchased from Bird Automotive Limited on January 15, 2021. (At that time there was Corona period, but there was no lockdown.) Its registration was done on February 8, 2021. In the documents related to registration, the address has been recorded as Ananth Raj Estate Management Service Private Limited, Unit-3, Pocket-8. After preliminary investigation, ED raided the Kolkata residence and office of the company’s CEO Premnath on February 7. A WhatsApp chat group was found from the mobile seized during the raid. Apart from Premnath’s son, some lawyers were included in this group. Answers to possible questions asked by the ED in connection with the seized car were discussed in the group.
