841 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in India, which is the highest in the last 227 days. The cases of infection under treatment are 4,309. According to the data updated by the Health Ministry at 8 am, one person each died of infection in Kerala, Karnataka and Bihar in the last 24 hours. Earlier on May 19, 865 new cases of infection were reported in the country. There has been a rise in cases of infection in recent days due to cold and new subtypes of the virus. Before this, by December 5, the number of daily cases had come down to double digits. In almost four years from the beginning of the year 2020 till now, more than 4.5 crore people have been infected with Corona virus across the country and more than 5.3 lakh people have died due to it. According to the website of the Health Ministry, the number of people who have recovered from the infection so far has exceeded 4.4 crore. The national recovery rate is 98.81 percent. According to the ministry, 220.67 crore doses have been given so far under the anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign in the country.
