VIDEO: Champai Soren in his native village, this is how he was welcomed when he reached his home

After becoming the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Champai Soren reached his native village Jillinggora in Seraikela-Kharsawan district for the first time on Wednesday 7 February. Here people gave him a grand welcome. The entire village was punished, from the helipad to his house. The entire village was cleaned by smearing it with cow dung. The door of his house was decorated with flower garlands. The entire family including younger brother Dikuram Soren was eagerly waiting for the arrival of Champai Soren. Grand preparations were also made by the administration to welcome him. A helipad was constructed outside the village itself. People in the village welcomed their Tiger (Kolhan Tiger) Champai Soren by playing dhol and mandar. Even before the Chief Minister reached his village, a large number of people had reached the statue of Sido-Kanhu Murmu outside the village to welcome him. Everyone was desperate to get a glimpse of Champai Soren after becoming the Chief Minister. Drums had been playing continuously for several hours already. Women were dancing Jhakjhumar. When Champai Soren reached the village, he was welcomed in a traditional manner. The women washed his feet in a plate. Carpet was laid on the road in the village. Tight security arrangements were also made. Along with the people of Champai Soren village, the district administration was also busy in preparations since morning.
