Under the leadership of Panki MLA Dr. Shashibhushan Mehta, the effigy of Medininagar Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Rajesh Kumar Sah was burnt against the ongoing deadlock regarding installation of the statue of martyr Mangal Pandey at Tarshi block headquarters of Palamu district. During this, angry people also protested and raised slogans. People protested by garlanding the effigy with slippers. Panki MLA alleges that Section 144 has been invoked by the SDM on the pretext of encroachment while installing the statue of martyr Mangal Pandey. This is an insult to the martyr. The people of Panki Assembly will not tolerate this at all. Panki MLA said that India is a democratic country. In democracy, the public is the master and Sadar SDO Rajesh Kumar Sah is the servant of the public. They need to have positive thinking towards the public. They are conspiring under the guise of section 144 by banning the installation of martyr Mangal Pandey’s statue. In Panki near Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, luxurious buildings have been built by encroachment on the cemetery land. Sadar SDO Rajesh Shah has guts, so he should remove the encroachment from there. Panki MLA Dr. Shashibhushan Mehta has challenged Sadar SDO Rajesh Kumar Sah.
