On the occasion of Independence Day, Chief Minister Hemant Soren presented the President’s Police Medal and Service Medal for gallantry to 44 police officers and personnel of the state in a function organized at Morhabadi in the capital Ranchi. Under this, the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service was given to Parasnath Ojha of ATS, Ranchi. At the same time, 35 policemen, including Indian Police Service officer Saket Kumar Singh, who went on central deputation, were given police medals for meritorious service. While eight police officers were awarded the President’s Police Medal/Police Medal for Gallantry.
