According to the Union Health Ministry, till Monday morning, 128 new cases have been reported in Kerala and the number of patients under treatment has increased to 3,128. The Union Health Ministry said that 628 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in India. Due to which the number of patients under treatment has increased to 4,054. Cases of corona infection are increasing rapidly in the country. Three times as many new cases have been reported in a day. NITI Aayog member (health) Dr VK Paul had said that the scientific community in India is closely investigating the new sub-form of corona virus and states need to increase testing and strengthen their surveillance systems. Officials said that even though the number of cases is increasing and the ‘JN.1’ sub-variant has been detected in the country, there is no cause for immediate concern as 92 per cent of the infected people are taking treatment by staying at home. The options are being chosen, which shows that the symptoms of the new sub-form are mild.
