Officials said on Wednesday that the situation worsened due to sudden floods and release of water from a dam. The flood occurred late on Tuesday night around 1.30 am. According to defense officials, many establishments in the valley have been hit by the flood. He said that due to the release of water from Chungthang Dam, the water level in the lake suddenly increased by 15 to 20 feet.
