Kantatoli Flyover Heavy machines, big cranes and pullers are being used for segment launching. For this reason, the entry of all types of vehicles coming from Namkum and Khelgaon to Kantatoli has been banned from 10 am to 6 am. Regarding this, there was talk of deployment of police at five major places, so that no vehicles could enter this route, but policemen were not deployed anywhere.
Due to non-deployment of policemen, vehicles were going towards Kantatoli indiscriminately. However, vehicles were stopped near Shantinagar before Kantatoli. Because of this there was a jam near Kokar Chowk. Later PCR policemen arrived and removed the jam. Policemen were deployed by the traffic police at Khelgaon Chowk, Kokar Chowk, near Shantinagar, exit gate of Khadgarha bus stand and Durga Soren Chowk, but there were no policemen anywhere.
Jharkhand’s only project to be built with segment girder system
It may be noted that the Kantatoli flyover segment is the only project in Jharkhand to be constructed with the girder system. In the state-of-the-art segment girder system, flyovers are made by casting segments and joining them together. Segment girder system is used in metro project. Wherein, in girder system, flyover is prepared by casting on pillars. Segment launching work has been started in Kantatoli flyover, which will continue till the month of December. There is a plan to speed up the work at night, so the entry of vehicles has been banned from 10 am to 6 am. However, people living near Kantatoli Chowk have been given exemption in this.
