Vande Bharat Express reaches Puri from Howrah in six hours, first trial successful

Vande Bharat was successfully tested on Friday on the busy route from Puri in Odisha to Howrah in West Bengal. A railway official said that as part of the trial run, the train left West Bengal’s Howrah station at 6.10 am and reached Puri within six hours. After this, to come back, the train left from Puri at 1.50 pm, which reached Howrah at around 8.30 pm. An official said that the second test of the train is likely to be held on April 30 from Howrah to Bhadrak.

Transport Minister wrote a letter to the Railway Minister

Odisha’s Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu has written a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav demanding to run Vande Bharat Express between Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad, Puri to Raipur and Howrah. He wrote, I want to request to start Vande Bharat train from Odisha to fulfill the aspirations of the people. For the convenience of passengers, start Vande Bharat Express train between Puri and Howrah. Along with this, he has also requested to run Vande Bharat Express from Puri to Rourkela via Sambalpur.

Coaches of Vande Bharat Express are made in Chennai

The coaches of the Vande Bharat Express, ready to run at a speed of 130 km per hour between Puri-Howrah, are made at the Integrated Coach Factory in Chennai. After reaching Kolkata from there, the coach was checked in the primary maintenance unit. Three trial runs have been reported before running this train regularly.
