Vandalism in Mumbai’s Mira Road area, group raising slogans of Lord Ram attacked

Meanwhile, a big news is coming out from Maharashtra. According to information, a clash broke out between members of two communities on Sunday night during a vehicle rally on the outskirts of Mumbai, ahead of the consecration ceremony of the idol of his child form in the newly constructed temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya.

Six people were detained after this clash. Police has given information regarding the matter. It is being told that tension prevailed in the area under Mira Bhayandar police station area around 10.30 pm on Sunday night when a group of 10 to 12 people in three cars and several motorcycles were taking out a rally from Naya Nagar. During the rally, the group was raising slogans in praise of Lord Ram in view of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday.

There was an argument with the people attending the rally

Regarding the matter, an official said that some people allegedly burnt firecrackers while raising slogans, after which a group of local people came out with sticks. There was an argument with the people attending his rally and they attacked their vehicles. He told that the people traveling in the vehicles were also beaten up. The police immediately intervened and chased away the attackers. Heavy police force has been deployed to deal with any law and order situation in the area.

Situation now under control

The officer further said that apart from local police personnel, a contingent of Riot Control Police (RCP) has also been deployed. He said that based on a complaint lodged at Naya Nagar police station, a case has been registered against the attackers under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code. Police have detained six people so far and efforts are being made to nab other accused. The situation in the area is still under control.
