Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue Operation Updates: All 41 laborers trapped in Silkyari Tunnel of Uttarakhand since November 12 have been rescued safely. The rescued workers were garlanded with flowers and welcomed with hugs by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Minister VK Singh. The trapped workers were taken out through a 57 meter steel pipe. Here, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the courage, patience of the trapped workers and their families and the bravery and determination of the rescue workers. He wrote, “The success of the rescue operation of our labor brothers in Uttarkashi is making everyone emotional. I want to tell the people trapped in the tunnel that your courage and patience is inspiring everyone. I wish you all good health. It is a matter of great satisfaction that after a long wait, our friends will now meet their loved ones. The patience and courage that these families have shown in this challenging time cannot be appreciated enough.

what is the whole matter
Let us tell you that on November 12, a part of the tunnel between 205 and 260 meters from Silkyara side had collapsed, the workers who were beyond the 260 meter mark got trapped, their exit was blocked. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each to all 41 workers rescued from the tunnel collapse site in Uttarkashi. Silkyara Tunnel is being constructed by NHIDCL on Yamunotri National Highway connecting Silkyara to Barkot. This 4531 meter long tunnel will reduce the road distance by 26 km and travel time by 45 minutes. The tunnel is designed as a single tube tunnel with two lanes divided by a vertical partition wall.
