what is the whole matter

Let us tell you that on November 12, a part of the tunnel between 205 and 260 meters from Silkyara side had collapsed, the workers who were beyond the 260 meter mark got trapped, their exit was blocked. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each to all 41 workers rescued from the tunnel collapse site in Uttarkashi. Silkyara Tunnel is being constructed by NHIDCL on Yamunotri National Highway connecting Silkyara to Barkot. This 4531 meter long tunnel will reduce the road distance by 26 km and travel time by 45 minutes. The tunnel is designed as a single tube tunnel with two lanes divided by a vertical partition wall.
