Lucknow: All the eight workers of UP trapped in the tunnel accident in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand are safe. Uttarakhand government is engaged in the rescue of all the people and every information is being shared. Every information regarding the rescue operation is being provided to the families of all the 8 people. The state government is making all serious efforts for the safety of the UP workers trapped in the accident and their safe return.
Information was received that a total of 8 workers from Uttar Pradesh were trapped in the accident. Of these, 6 people are from Shravasti, one from Lakhimpur Kheri and one from Mirzapur. According to the information received from the Uttarakhand government, all 8 people are completely safe. Their families have been informed about this. On Tuesday, on the instructions of the District Magistrate, SDM Bhinga Piyush Jaiswal met the families of the workers trapped in the tunnel disaster and informed them about the situation. Tehsildar Nighasan of Lakhimpur Kheri met the family of the laborer trapped in the tunnel disaster and informed them there. Mirzapur’s disaster expert said that the Tehsildar met the victim’s family and informed them about the entire situation.
Food items are being given through pipes
Efforts are on to save the workers trapped in the tunnel in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, among the 40 laborers whose information has come to light that they are trapped, many are also from Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh Kumar of Mirzapur is among the workers of Uttar Pradesh who are trapped in the tunnel. Apart from this, Ankit, Rammilan, Satyadev, Santosh, Jaiprakash, Ram Sundar, Manjeet of village Motipur are included. All these laborers are being given food items through pipes. Besides, this pipe has also become a medium for conversation.
A part of the tunnel under construction on Brahmakhal-Yamunotri National Highway suddenly caved in on Sunday morning in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Due to which about 40 laborers got trapped there. Rescue and relief work is going on to bring them out. The list of these 40 laborers has surfaced on social media. Since then there has been panic in the families of these labourers. It is being told that the workers trapped in the tunnel have been contacted through walkie-talkie. Oxygen is being supplied to the workers through pipes in the tunnel. It has been reported that about 30-35 meters of the tunnel is broken.
