Bus accident in Uttarkashi: Seven people were killed and 27 others injured when a bus returning from Gangotri carrying pilgrims from Gujarat fell into a gorge near Gangnani in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. According to the information received from the State Emergency Operation Center, the injured were sent to the hospital via ambulance. There were 35 people in the bus at the time of the accident. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who is present in Delhi, spoke to the top officials and inquired about the accident and instructed them to carry out relief and rescue operations at a rapid pace. The Chief Minister said that State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and medical teams are present on the spot. He said that a helicopter has been kept ready in Dehradun for help if required.
