Uttarkashi: 41 laborers trapped in tunnel for 9 days, rescue work underway, food sent through 6 inch pipeline

The lives of 41 laborers are stuck in the tunnel for the last 9 days. However, great success has been achieved in their rescue work. They have been contacted and food has been delivered to the workers with the help of 6 engineering pipelines.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami tweeted regarding the Uttarkashi tunnel accident. He wrote, as part of the ongoing rescue operation to save the workers trapped inside the tunnel under construction in Silkyara, Uttarkashi, a 6-inch diameter pipeline has been successfully laid across the debris. Through this, now food items, medicines and other items are being easily sent to the workers as per their requirement. Central agencies, SDRF and state administration teams engaged in rescue operations are making tireless efforts. We are working on a war footing to evacuate all the workers safely.
