Uttarakhand Tunnel Rescue: In the Uttarkashi tunnel accident in Uttarakhand, 5 workers from Bihar who were trapped in the tunnel have also been taken out safely. As soon as Deepak, a resident of Gijas Math Thola of Muzaffarpur, came out on Tuesday night, his maternal uncle Nirbhay Kumar Singh hugged him. Both uncle and nephew had tears in their eyes, but they were tears of happiness. After waiting for the last 17 days, Deepak came back from the jaws of death. Nirbhay Kumar Singh made a video call to Deepak’s father Shatrughan Patel and got him to talk to Deepak. Father cried after seeing Deepak. Deepak silenced him. Uncle Nirbhay Singh along with Deepak went in the ambulance to Matali hospital, located some distance away, where Deepak was admitted. All the workers who came out of the tunnel were being brought here. As soon as Deepak came out, Nirbhay Singh informed all his relatives about Deepak’s safe return. Deepak’s mother was in shock after her son got trapped in the tunnel. When he talked to Deepak through video call, he got solace.
Family members were present near the tunnel for several days
People had been standing near the tunnel for many days waiting for their son and relatives to come out, Deepak’s maternal uncle Nirbhay Kumar Singh had gone to Uttarkashi on the second day of Diwali. He was present there since then. Nirbhay Kumar Singh said that we were constantly being told that there was nothing to worry about, everyone would be taken out. We too were spending every moment in this hope. Once the rescue operation failed, our anxiety increased. Although there was confidence that Deepak would come out safely.
Father and relatives happy to see son
When the sons and relatives of the people present near the tunnel came out of the tunnel, they hugged him. Would inquire about their well-being. There were tears of happiness in everyone’s eyes. Nirbhay Singh told that there was no one here who did not have tears in his eyes, but these were tears of happiness. After about 17 days, laughter was seen on the faces of the people waiting for their loved ones here. Many people who came out of the tunnel looked very weak and many were very scared because they were facing death.
Mani Diwali in Deepak’s village, sweets distributed
On hearing about Deepak coming out of the tunnel, people of his group gathered at his house. Everyone was congratulating his father. The nearby children also celebrated Diwali by burning crackers. Sweets were also distributed among all the neighboring houses.
