UPSC Main Exam 2023: Preparations for the main exam completed in Patna, eight magistrates and police officers deployed

The Civil Services (Main) Examination 2023 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission will be held in two shifts from 15 to 17 September and from 23 and 24 September at two sub-centres of Science College in Patna. Police officers along with eight magistrates have been deployed to ensure clean and malpractice-free examinations. The number of candidates is 382. DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh and SSP Rajeev Mishra have said that it is the top priority of the administration to conduct the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2023 conducted by UPSC, New Delhi in a clean, malpractice-free and peaceful environment.

He said that for the successful conduct of the examination, one local inspection officer and one assistant supervisor cum static magistrate have been deputed at each sub-centre. A zonal magistrate has been deputed. Also, five magistrates have been kept safe in the district control room. Along with magistrates, police officials have also been deputed. He said that all the deputed local inspection officers have to reach their examination sub-centres two hours before the commencement of the examination on the scheduled dates.

The main gate will be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the examination of each shift. The present candidate will not be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the end of the examination. The local inspection officer will have to provide information about the presence/absence of each shift and the total number of candidates to the Commissioner’s Office, Patna Division and the Control Room on telephone number (0612-2219205/2233578) within half an hour of the commencement of the examination.

Carrying electrical goods is prohibited.

In the light of the instructions of the Union Public Service Commission, carrying mobile phones, IT gadgets, digital watches, smart watches, Bluetooth or any other communication device in the examination hall/room is prohibited. In case of violation of the above instructions, disciplinary action will be taken against the candidate concerned and he will be debarred from the examinations conducted by the Commission in future. Section 144 will remain in force around the examination centre. In the presence of the representative of Union Public Service Commission, Commissioner’s Secretary Preeteshwar Prasad and ADM Law and Order Hemant Kumar gave necessary directions to the officials. For the successful conduct of the examination, Manish Kumar, Labor Superintendent has been nominated in the room of the Nodal Officer in the District Control Room. Along with the ADM Law and Order, City SP will be in senior charge of Central Law and Order.
