UPPSC: Date of preliminary examination of RO/ARO recruitment announced, 1069725 candidates applied for 411 posts.

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has declared the date of preliminary examination of Review Officer (RO) / Assistant Review Officer (ARO) – 2023. The preliminary examination will be held on 11 February 2024. The examination will be held in two shifts from 9.30 to 11.30 am and from 2.30 to 3.30 pm. This time the number of centers will be more as compared to previous examinations. The Commission had issued advertisement for recruitment to 411 posts of RO/ARO on October 9, 2023. The last date for application was November 9, which was later extended to November 24. A record breaking 1069725 candidates have applied for this examination. For the first time, such a large number of applications have been received for any examination of the Commission. There are 2603 candidates vying for one post, so this time the competition among the candidates is going to be very tough. Due to the large number of candidates, this time the number of centers will also be more as compared to the previous examinations. Selection for the post of ARO will be based on preliminary examination, main examination and type test and for the post of RO, selection will be based on preliminary and main examination. There will be negative marking in the preliminary examination.

The exam will be of total 200 marks and there will be two question papers. Both the question papers will be objective type. The first paper of General Studies will be of 140 marks, which will be given two hours to solve. There will be 140 questions in it. The second paper will be of General Hindi, in which 60 questions related to general word knowledge and grammar will be asked. The question paper will be of 60 marks and one hour will be given to solve it. In the General Hindi paper, questions related to antonyms, sentence and spelling correction, one word from several words, similar and identical words, adjectives and adverbs, synonyms will be asked.

Students up to 12th will get free entry in Allahabad Museum.

Now students up to class 12th will get admission in Allahabad Museum without any fee. To promote cultural education, Governor Anandiben Patel has approved the proposal of fee-free entry. Allahabad Museum, one of the four museums of international importance in the country, has taken steps towards promoting cultural education. In compliance with the decision taken in the executive meeting of Allahabad Museum Committee held under the chairmanship of Governor Anandi Ben Patel, the museum visit has been made free for the students up to class 12th and their accompanying teachers. Entry into the museum will be free for students coming in school uniform and showing school identity card. Apart from this, photography has also been made free of charge. Earlier, a fee of Rs 100 was charged for photography. Director Rajesh Prasad said that this decision has been taken to promote cultural education. At the same time, videography fees have been increased for others. With this, the exhibition hall of the museum will now be available on rent with fixed fee.
