In such a situation, the people of the state may have to face power cuts. Technical fault is being told as the reason for stoppage of production. Last week, four power generation units were stalled.
This time six production units have come to a standstill. In this, Power Corporation used to get 220 MW from two units of Tanda, 528 MW from Meja, 189 MW from Rihand, 1000 MW from two units of Anpara. In this, another unit of Tanda and Meza may start on Sunday, while the production units of Rihand and Anpara are likely to start by August 29.
Demand for 24 thousand MW electricity in the state
On the other hand, technical fault (boiler tube leakage) is said to be the reason for stoppage of production units from the Power Corporation. Due to the stoppage of these units, the production is decreasing. In such a situation, if the heat increases, the people of the state may have to face power crisis. Because, at present the demand of electricity in the state is about 24 thousand MW.
In this, 3915 MW electricity is being received from the units of the Production Corporation, while work is being done with 12 thousand MW imported electricity. At present, in this season also, instead of 18 hours, 17.58 hours power supply is being claimed in the rural areas. The departmental report is showing a two-minute cut only in rural areas.
Units closed due to technical reasons
On the other hand, Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal, President of Power Corporation told that there is arrangement of electricity in the state. Consumers will not have any kind of problem. Some units are closed due to technical reasons. This type of problem keeps coming from time to time. Teams are engaged. Soon these units will start producing electricity again.
Electricity consumers can get relief in bills
Electricity companies of Uttar Pradesh will no longer charge GST on the entire estimate of work done only on the basis of supervision in connections of big consumers and other works related to electricity. Electricity companies will be able to take only supervision charge and GST applicable on this charge from the consumer. With this decision, consumers will save a huge amount of money spent on electricity connection and other works.
Right now this system has been implemented in Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam. Purvanchal appealed to the Appellate Authority of Advance Ruling GST U.P. Petition was filed in The authority ordered that GST will not be paid on the entire estimate amount for the work done by the consumer himself under the supervision of the power companies. The consumer will pay only the supervision charge to the power companies and GST on this charge.

Managing Director of Power Corporation Pankaj Kumar has informed other power companies of the state about the order passed on the petition of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam. It has been ordered that all the companies should be informed within three weeks after filing advance ruling petition.
He has given instructions that all power companies should get an order to this effect by filing an advance ruling petition. So that in future the GST department can avoid the financial loss due to GST demand and penalty imposed on the electricity corporations. According to Section-103 of the GST Act, the order passed by the authority is applicable only to the jurisdiction of the applicant.
Other power companies will take compensation bond from the consumer
It has been ordered that until the advance ruling is received from the other power companies, the consumer should be given the option to pay only supervision charges to the corporation and the GST payable on it. Also submit an indemnity bond on stamp paper.
In which it is written that in the case related to the authority, if it is ordered that GST will be payable on the entire estimate amount even after the construction, modification and transfer of the electrical structure by the consumer himself under the supervision of the power companies, or on the entire estimate by the GST department. On demand of GST, consumer shall pay applicable interest, penalty on the amount of estimate to the corporation within one month.
