UP ATS has arrested Satyendra Siwal, an employee working in the Indian Embassy in Russia, from Meerut. This employee was spying for Pakistani intelligence agency ISS. Satyendra is posted at the Indian Embassy in Moscow. He is originally a resident of Hapur. In 2021, he was working as MTS i.e. Multi Tasking Staff in the Ministry of External Affairs. In fact, Uttar Pradesh ATS was informed by the confidential department that the handlers of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI were luring some people to the employees of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and luring them with money to obtain strategic and strategically important information related to the Indian Army. Confidential and prohibited information is being obtained. This is likely to pose a huge threat to Indian internal and external security. Taking cognizance of this, UP ATS collected evidence by keeping an eye on it through surveillance. Investigation revealed that a person named Satyendra Siwal, son of Jaiveer Singh, resident of village Shahmahiuddinpur police station Hapur Dehat, district Hapur, who is appointed as MTS in the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and is currently working in the Indian Embassy in Moscow, Russia, is a member of the ISI. Could not give correct answer during interrogation with UP ATS
The investigation by the Intelligence Department revealed that he was involved in anti-India activities by getting involved in the web of ISI handlers and was passing on important confidential information to them in the name of greed for money. After UP ATS got solid evidence, Satyendra Siwal was called to ATS Field Unit Meerut and interrogated and when information was given about the information sent by him, he could not give correct answer. During intensive interrogation, Satyendra confessed to his crime. According to the information, Satyendra is working as IBSA (India based security assistant) in the Indian Embassy in Moscow, Russia since the year 2021. A case has been registered against the accused under various sections. Two mobile phones, Aadhar card, PAN card, an identity card and Rs 600 have been recovered from the accused.
