UP Weather Update: After the relief rain in Uttar Pradesh, people have got relief from the sultry heat. The weather became pleasant in many places including the capital Lucknow on Thursday evening. The rain at night gave great relief to the people.

The Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of thunder and lightning at one or two places in the state on Friday. There may be heavy rain at one or two places. There may be thundershowers at some places in Western Uttar Pradesh and many places in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The maximum temperature in the capital Lucknow and surrounding areas on Friday is expected to be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 25 degrees Celsius.

According to Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, there is a possibility of lightning at one or two places in the entire state on September 9. There may be rain and thundershowers at some places in Western Uttar Pradesh and many places in Purvanchal. After this, there are chances of rain at one or two places in Western Uttar Pradesh and some places in Purvanchal on 10th and 11th September. During this period, lightning may fall at one or two places in entire Uttar Pradesh.

After this, similar weather will prevail on 12th and 13th September and there may be rain and thundershowers at one or two places in Western UP and at some places in Purvanchal. In this way, there is currently rainy season in the state till 13th September.

According to the Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, there is no possibility of any major change in the maximum and minimum temperatures in the state during the next four days. At present the monsoon trough at mean sea level is now extending east-southeastwards to West Central Bay of Bengal, passing through Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Indore, Betul, Gondia, Raipur and Gopalpur. Along with this, the circulation over Chakraborty over South Interior Orissa is now over the central parts of Interior Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh, which extends up to 7.6 kilometers above sea level. It is inclined towards south-west with elevation. Due to rain, a drop in temperature has been recorded at some places.
