UP Weather Update: The effect of cold wave is continuously increasing in Uttar Pradesh. There has been a significant increase in melting in the plains amid snowfall in the mountains. After morning and evening, now cold has become more effective during the day also. Fog has increased significantly in the state in the last 24 hours. Friday morning started with dense fog in many districts including Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Bareilly, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Noida, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Prayagraj. Due to this, the drivers had to face a lot of trouble. Amidst the cold wave, people are somehow facing the cold by lighting bonfires. The Meteorological Department has predicted an increase in cold wave along with fog in the coming days. There will be further decline in mercury at night. Generally the weather will remain dry. According to the Meteorological Department, fog is likely to be more effective in many parts of western UP on Friday. Chills will also increase. According to the Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, the effect of cold wave has increased in the entire state. Melting has increased despite sunshine due to presence of clouds at many places. Due to blowing winds the cold wave is causing more trouble. In this season, fog has started becoming effective even at night. According to meteorologists, there will be a drop of two to three degrees in the minimum temperature in the next 48 hours, which will increase the melting. Although there will be no major change in the maximum temperature in 48 hours, after this the mercury may increase by two to three degrees.
