UP Weather Update: Due to the changed conditions of monsoon in UP, different colors of the weather are being seen. Somewhere in the state there is rain and somewhere there is drought. In many areas including the capital Lucknow, the weather became pleasant on Tuesday morning due to rain. This rain seems to be giving relief at the moment. However, it has not rained heavily in Lucknow yet, due to which the effect of humidity is being seen here.

The maximum temperature can remain up to 36 degrees in Lucknow.

In the capital Lucknow and surrounding areas, there was a change in the weather due to dusty storm in some places in the evening amid humidity on Monday. On the other hand, people have got relief due to rain on Tuesday. However, there will be a big change in the weather only in case of heavy rains. In Lucknow and surrounding areas, the maximum temperature is expected to be 36 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 28 degree Celsius.

Uttar Pradesh, which is facing the scorching heat and humidity, is expected to get relief from the rains, which is visible only in some parts. Due to the movement of sunshine and scattered clouds, sticky summer weather has been created.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be moderate to heavy rains due to the monsoon trough in the southern parts of the state. Drizzle to light rain is forecast across the state. According to Mohammad Danish, Senior Scientist of Regional Meteorological Center, Lucknow, at present the trough line of monsoon is towards the southern areas of Uttar Pradesh.

Heavy rain expected in these districts in next 24 to 48 hours

Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Prayagraj, Santakbirnagar, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Chandauli and Sonbhadra from Tuesday to Wednesday. On the other hand, there are chances of scattered rains due to drizzle in most of the districts.

Rain situation in UP till August 6

According to the Zonal Meteorological Center, Lucknow, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at some places in western Uttar Pradesh and many places in eastern Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. After this, on August 2, the condition of rain can be seen in the entire state. During this, rain is expected at many places in western Uttar Pradesh and everywhere in Purvanchal. An alert has also been issued for lightning. At present, there is a possibility of rain in the state till August 6.

No change in maximum temperature

There is no possibility of any major change in the maximum temperature for the next two days. After this, there is a possibility of 2 to 3 degree Celsius fall in the next three days. At the same time, there is no possibility of a big increase in the minimum temperature during the next five days.

In the last 24 hours in the state, maximum heat was seen in Kanpur. The maximum temperature was recorded here at 37.4 degree Celsius. Whereas the minimum temperature was 25.2 degree Celsius in Najibabad. 24 mm of rain was recorded in Hamirpur.

Cyclone status close to western UP

According to Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, a cyclonic circulation lies over Southwest Uttar Pradesh & neighborhood at 5.8 km above mean sea level. The low pressure area is now over central parts of North Bay of Bengal. An associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 9.5 km above mean sea level. Monsoon Trough extends over Amritsar, Patiala, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Gaya, Bankura and Digha, center of well marked low pressure area, and then southeastwards up to North Andaman Sea.

Monsoon status in the country in July

According to meteorologists, the month of July in the country was good in terms of monsoon. Between July 1 and July 30, 314.7 mm of rain has been received, which is about 14 per cent more than the long-term average. The monthly normal rainfall is 280.5 mm in July, which is the rainiest monsoon month.

More than 70 percent of the annual rainfall occurs during the southwest monsoon season. July and August are the main monsoon months, receiving 62 per cent of the seasonal rainfall. In July and August, 534.9 mm of rainfall was recorded against the seasonal average of 868.6 mm. The daily rainfall in July 2023 was above normal on 19 days and below average on 12 days. The pace of monsoon is likely to weaken in the coming days.

Monsoon is kind in western UP, it rains more than normal

While Purvanchal was seen battling drought in the month of July in UP, the monsoon remained kind in western UP. Because of this, good conditions of rain have been seen here. According to meteorologists, western UP has received about 17 percent more rain than normal. Amid high possibility of rain in Purvanchal in August, there can be an improvement in the records there.
