Expectation of relief from July 24

According to Atul Kumar Singh, Senior Scientist of Zonal Meteorological Center, Lucknow, there are chances of rain with thunder and lightning at many places in western Uttar Pradesh on July 24 in the state. However, there are signs of rain at a few places in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Apart from this, there is an alert for heavy rains in Bahraich, Bijnor, Lakhimpur Kheri, Muzaffarnagar and Pilibhit districts between 8.30 am on July 24 and 8.30 am on July 25. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the areas around Saharanpur, Shahjahanpur, Shamli, Sitapur and Shravasti.

Rain will intensify from July 25

A fresh low pressure area is likely to form over northwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal near south Odisha, north Andhra Pradesh coast around July 24.
