Tuesday morning started with dense fog in almost all places including Lucknow, Kanpur, Ayodhya, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Noida. Due to melting in the morning, people who came out looked quite worried. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of increase in melting in the coming days due to drop in temperature. The effect of fog will be seen at different places in the state on 20, 21 and 22 December. After this, the weather will remain generally dry on 23rd and 24th December. In this way, the weather is likely to remain dry till the end of the year. Due to increase in melting, cold will have more impact. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of increase in the maximum temperature in the next four days. There is a possibility of a drop of up to two degrees in the minimum temperature in the next 48 hours.

Minimum temperature reached 5 degrees in Ayodhya

According to Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, continuous changes are being seen in the minimum temperature in the state. The minimum temperature in Ayodhya has reached 5 degrees. Similar weather has been seen in other districts of the state also. Minimum temperatures were recorded at 5.8 degrees in Bareilly, 6.2 degrees in Najibabad, 6.4 degrees in Ghazipur, 6.9 degrees in Shahjahanpur, 7.4 degrees in Kanpur city and 7.6 degrees Celsius in Sultanpur. Whereas minimum temperature has been recorded at 7.4 degrees in Moradabad and Muzaffarnagar, 8.5 degrees in Meerut, 8.0 degrees in Prayagraj, 8.6 degrees in Lucknow.

Mercury will fall during the day with night and evening

Mohammad Danish, senior scientist of Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, said that now with the increase in melting, fog is also expected to increase. Due to icy winds blowing in the capital Lucknow, people will now see more effects of cold in the night and evening as well as during the day. Due to icy winds, cold will be effective even during the day. The maximum temperature of Lucknow is likely to be 20 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 7 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Azamgarh, Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Saharanpur, Barabanki, Kannauj and Hardoi is expected to be between 20 to 21 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in these districts can remain between 6 to 7 degrees Celsius.

With this, the minimum temperature in Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Najibabad, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Agra, Aligarh, Bulandshahr and Etawah is likely to be 5 to 4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in these districts can be 19 to 20 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is expected to be between 8 degrees Celsius to 9 degrees Celsius in Fatehpur, Banda, Sultanpur, Faizabad, Fursatganj, Ghazipur, Fatehgarh, Basti, Jhansi, Orai and Hamirpur. At the same time, the maximum temperature will be between 18 degree Celsius to 19 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature in Barabanki, Hardoi, Kanpur city, Kanpur Dehat, Lakhimpur Kheri, Gorakhpur and Varanasi including Ballia Churk, Bahraich and Prayagraj is likely to be between 5 degrees Celsius to 6 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the maximum temperature of these districts is expected to be between 19 degree Celsius to 20 degree Celsius.
