UP Weather Update: The weather in UP is once again preparing to take a turn. On Sunday, the effect of humidity was seen amidst relief from rain in many places in the state, while there are chances of heavy rains in various districts on Monday. However, in the surrounding districts including the capital Lucknow, there is a feeling of heat since the beginning of the morning. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in many districts.

According to the Zonal Meteorological Center, Lucknow, the maximum temperature is expected to be 34 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is 27 degree Celsius on Monday in the capital and its surrounding areas. In the last 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh, maximum heat was seen in Kanpur city. The maximum temperature was recorded here at 36.9 degree Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 22.5 degree Celsius in Churk.

There are chances of rain and thundershowers at many places in Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, on July 18, it is expected to rain at many places in western UP and at some places in Purvanchal. For the time being, the weather will remain like this. There is a possibility of rain in the state till July 22.

According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of thunder and rain in Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Chandauli, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Jalaun and Hamirpur. Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Banda, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kasganj, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badayun, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, due to the harsh monsoon, the rivers are in spate. Due to continuous rains, the water level of Ganga has broken the record of 12 years. In the year 2010, the maximum water level went up to 162.79 meters on Kachalabridge in Badaun. Here the water level became 162.80 meters. Apart from this, an increase in the water level of rivers like Yamuna, Saryu, Ramganga has also been recorded.

According to the Irrigation Department, there has been a significant increase in the water level of the Ganga at some places. The maximum water level has increased in Badaun district. Although the situation here is stable at present, but the Ganges is flowing at its highest level in the last 12 years. The water level is expected to rise further. In Narora Bulandshahr also the water level has gone beyond 178 metres. Here also the Ganges is in spate.

Yamuna is flowing touching the danger mark in Mathura. Same is the condition of Saryu in Barabanki. It is estimated that there will be moderate rainfall in the areas of Gomti, Saryu, Rapti etc. of Ganga. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Mirzapur area of ​​Ganga basin.

However, at this time all the districts of the state have been taken out of the red zone due to floods. Badaun, Mathura have been kept in the Orange Zone. Apart from this, Farrukhabad, Kanpur Nagar, Ayodhya, Shahjahapur, Barabanki, Hapur have been included in the Yellow Zone. About 200 villages of the state are still in the grip of flood.

According to meteorologists, the monsoon trough is passing through Ganganagar, Hisar, Delhi, Sultanpur, Gaya, Bankura and then southeast wards till the Bay of East Central Bengal. The Western Disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. The cyclonic circulation over South Gujarat region extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level.

The cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level and tilts south with height. Another cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over northwest Bay of Bengal around 18 July. These weather conditions are likely to affect the temperature in Uttar Pradesh as well.

Meanwhile, the continuous rising water level of the rivers has affected the life of the people. Terai areas are more affected. Where other rivers including Ganga, Yamuna have taken a formidable form, the SDRF is alert there. Divers and personnel have been deployed at many places for monitoring.
