UP Weather Update: Dense fog has engulfed Uttar Pradesh amid cold wave. At present, northwest wind is blowing in the state, due to which there is shivering weather. Fog is wreaking havoc in most parts of the state. Due to this, incidents of vehicle collision are continuously coming to light. Road and rail traffic is being disrupted. There is dense fog and visibility was recorded at less than five meters. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility that this trend will continue for the time being. Tuesday morning started with dense fog in Lucknow, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Unnao, Kanpur, Agra, Jhansi, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Meerut, Ghaziabad and Noida and other places in the state. At many places the sun is shining during the day, while at many places its effect remains ineffective due to melting. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of relief at present. The fog will become denser as the year ends. In view of the severe cold in the state, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert. At the same time, due to the effect of western disturbance, there may be rain in Uttar Pradesh by the end of this month. The temperature can drop rapidly.
