Lucknow: Sunday morning in Uttar Pradesh was covered with dense fog. People started the day by sitting under quilt and drinking tea. Till 10 am, there was dense fog in the capital Lucknow and surrounding areas. The weather department had also predicted dense fog at many places. Cold day to very cold day is also expected at some places. Apart from this, there is a possibility of cold wave at one or two places in Western UP. Frost may also occur at one or two places in western UP.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be no major change in the maximum temperature during 48 hours and thereafter there may be a slight increase of about 2 degrees Celsius during the next three days. There will be no major change in the minimum temperature in 24 hours. The temperature will increase slightly in the next four days. Generally the weather will be dry. There is a warning of dense fog and cold day at many places in western Uttar Pradesh including Badaun, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad. There is also yellow alert in Ghazipur, Ballia, Azamgarh, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Faizabad, Barabanki in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Muzaffar Nagar is the coldest
In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature recorded in Muzaffar Nagar was 2.8 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, Meerut 3.4, Shahjahanpur 3.9, Kanpur City 3 degrees, Orai 4.8 degrees have been recorded.
