Lucknow: Cold wave is going on in UP. The maximum temperature is also going two-three degrees below normal. There was bone-chilling cold in many districts of Western UP on Saturday. It is cold on Sunday, but there is some relief due to lack of rain. The Meteorological Department estimates that there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog at one or two places in Western UP. There is a possibility of dense fog at one or two places in East UP. There is a possibility of cold day at one or two places in western UP. Generally the weather will be dry.
Dense fog may occur at one or two places in the state in the next 24 hours i.e. on January 8. The weather is expected to remain dry in eastern Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of thundershowers and rain at one or two places in western Uttar Pradesh.
Apart from dense fog on January 9, there may also be rain with lightning and thunder at different places. There may be rain and thundershowers at some places in Western Uttar Pradesh and one or two places in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
