Lucknow: Cold wave continues in UP for the third consecutive day. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of cold day and fog in many districts. The weather is expected to remain dry on Wednesday, January 17 also. Cold Day alert has been issued in Muzaffar Nagar, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad. Apart from this, warning of cold day has been given in Meerut, Bareilly, Rampur, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Bahraich, Lakhimpur, Sitapur. There is a possibility of dense fog here.
According to the Meteorological Department, Meerut was the coldest city in UP. The temperature here was recorded at 3.8 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the temperature of Muzaffar Nagar, Moradabad 5.2, Ayodhya 5.5 degrees, Kanpur 6.0, Agra 6.4, Lucknow was 6.9 degrees Celsius.
